Careers
Built by people who have already done it
We hire operators, vetting specialists and investor relations people who have run recruitment and staffing businesses themselves — in London, New York and remotely.
Why here
A short answer to the obvious question
LAUNCH. is an invitation-only matching service. Founders apply, investors and experts are referred, and nobody pays for placement. That single rule is why the work is interesting: our only product is judgement, so the only thing worth hiring for is judgement.
Nobody pays for placement
Founders are not sold access and investors are not sold deal flow. That constraint shapes every decision we make, including who we hire.
Operators, not advisers
We hire people who have carried the risk themselves. Generic advice is abundant; judgement earned the hard way is not.
Say the difficult thing early
Telling a founder they are not ready, with the specifics of what would change that, is more useful than a polite introduction that wastes everyone's quarter.
Two markets, properly understood
US and UK rules, funding structures and buyer behaviour genuinely differ. We write and advise like we know which one we are in.
Open and ongoing
Where we are usually hiring
We keep a small team and add people when the network needs a specific capability. If one of these describes you, apply even if the timing looks wrong.
London or New York · Full time
Founder vetting specialist
You read every application, run the first founder conversation and decide what is ready and what is not. Suited to someone who has run a recruitment or staffing desk and then a team, and who can tell the difference between a good story and a good business.
Tell us about yourselfNew York · Full time
Investor relations lead
You build and maintain the investor and operator side of the network across the US: who invests in staffing, at what stage, on what terms, and what they actually want to see before a first call.

Operator in residence
You have built and sold a recruitment or staffing business. You take a small number of matched founders and work with them on the decisions you already got wrong once, so they do not have to.

Editorial & research
You research and write the guides that founders and answer engines rely on: US and UK market rules, funding structures, real numbers. Precision matters more than volume here.

Most agency owners started as billing consultants
If the real question is whether to leave and start your own recruitment business, we wrote the honest version: covenants, the cash you need, and what the job becomes once you own it.
Questions
Careers FAQs
Is LAUNCH. a recruitment agency?
No. LAUNCH. is an invitation-only matching service that pairs recruitment and staffing founders with exited operators, sector experts and investors. We do not place candidates into jobs for clients, and nobody pays for placement on either side of a match.
What kind of people do you hire?
Mostly operators: people who have built, run or sold recruitment and staffing businesses, plus investor relations and editorial specialists who know the sector. Time spent carrying real risk counts for more with us than time spent advising on it.
Do you take fractional or operator-in-residence people?
Yes. A meaningful part of the network is fractional — founders who have exited and want to work with a small number of businesses rather than run another one full time. That route usually begins with a conversation rather than a formal application.
Where are you based?
London and New York, with remote arrangements for operator and fractional roles. Founder-facing roles are expected to spend time in one of the two markets we serve.
How do I apply if there is no role listed for me?
Use the application form and tell us what you have built. Most of the people who join us do so before a role is advertised, because the network grows around specific expertise rather than a headcount plan.
Introduce yourself
Tell us what you have built and which side of the network you belong on. A specialist reads every application personally.
